MOUNTAIN LION HUNTS
This is one of our favorite hunts! We take pride in working with our dogs, ensuring to have them in well-working condition when the season starts. One of the best parts of this hunt is watching the dogs work and getting to be around them while they do what they truly love. This hunt can be physically demanding, but it is well worth the experience to witness their capabilities and the terrain they live in.
In Colorado, mountain lion season starts the day after the fourth general rifle season ends. This is roughly mid to late November. We try to work with our clients, as best as we can, to get them here in decent conditions. With good snow conditions, tracking lions is easier and more effective. We have caught several in the dirt, but it requires hard work and a bit more patience. This is a five day hunt and is strictly done with hounds. Depending on conditions, we average close to a 100% success rate on these hunts. This is one hunt that you won't regret!
