ELK HUNTS​

     Behrman Outfitting offers superb elk hunts in the "Elk Hunting Capital of The World". With an abundance of elk and our knowledge of pursuing these animals, we can assure that you will leave satisfied with your hunt. ARCHERY
   
     Archery season starts September 2 and runs until the end of the month. All archery tags are over-the-counter and are suitable for the whole state (with the exception of the limited draw units). With a 95% opportunity rate, hunters will have the chance at a 350" class bull, with some exceptionally larger. Spot and stock is our most used method, as well as the use of ground blinds. 


RIFLE
   
     General rifle season is a four season layout. The first and fourth seasons are a draw-only, while the second and third season are over-the-counter. Our rifle hunts are operated on two separate ranches.

     We run the first and second rifle seasons on one ranch, where hunters have a greater chance at harvesting a trophy class bull. Meanwhile, the later rifle seasons are ran throughout our "Ranching For Wildlife" program, located on the other ranch. The later seasons are perfect for those wanting to harvest nice five and six point bulls, while still getting a freezer full of delicious meat.

     Both are great for those of you that still enjoy the adrenaline rush, but you just can't quite get through those mountains like you used to. These hunts are generally spot and stock, but they can be as simple as setting up and waiting for the elk to feed out. Our success rate on these hunts is over 95%, as everyone typically gets multiple opportunities. 


LIMITED DRAW
     
     Limited draw tags are extremely difficult to draw in the state of Colorado. We are fortunate enough to find a land voucher every few years. Some years, we may have multiple. The units we are most familiar with are: 1, 2, 201, 10. We know these units very well, and we also know what they are capable of. if you're looking for the bull of a lifetime, give us a call.
